The GuildHE series of regulation briefings – and blogs – explore different elements of regulation, regulatory burden and regulators and provide a series of practical recommendations. We recognise the value of good regulation to protect the interests of students, staff and around public funding but regulatory burden should be regularly reviewed to ensure that it is doing what it was intended to do and in the most efficient way and ensure that it meets the Regulators Code.
We have been pleased to work with colleagues across the sector to inform our work and particular thanks to Smita Jamdar from Shakespeare Martineau for writing the second briefing exploring legal dimensions and Andy Youell from UCEM for his blog on the use of data in regulation.
